It’s been a while since I did any city photography in the centre of Leeds and a few things have changed so I decided to head back there with the trusty OM-D and update my collection.

In the famous Victoria Quarter I wandered through the selection of lovely old arcades leading off either side of Briggate and New Briggate. The most famous of these is no doubt the County Arcade with its lovely domed roof and mosaics (and trendy shops).

Up on New Briggate the Grand Arcade seemed to have been spruced up a bit since my last visit and has a nice selection of independent shops and cafes with tables “outside” in the arcade.

Back down on Briggate, Thornton’s Arcade has lovely painted ironwork and the nearby Queen’s Arcade is light and airy with rows of shop signs along the wrought iron balcony.

Great series of images, amazing detail.
Thanks Simon!
