
Mark Sunderland Photography
Mark Sunderland is a landscape and travel photographer based in Knaresborough, North Yorkshire, England. He was born in York, England in 1963. His interest in photography started around the age of eleven. He is largely self-taught, having trained and worked in the IT industry for some twenty years. Mark has continued to develop his photography throughout his life both in the UK and abroad with landscape photographers Nigel Turner and Linde Waidhofer in North America and Patagonia. He became a full time professional photographer in 2004 and retired in 2023 – but still takes the occasional photograph!
Mark has been widely published in magazines and books. He has written numerous travel photography and technique articles for titles such as Outdoor Photography, Photography Monthly and Amateur Photographer. He was highly commended in the Composition and Form category of the 2000 Wildlife Photographer of The Year Competition.
Mark has a library of well over 20,000 stock landscape and travel images available for licensing. Mark is also represented by numerous stock image libraries including Alamy, Robert Harding Picture Library and National Trust Images.
