Mark Sunderland Landscape Photographer
Mark Sunderland is a landscape and travel photographer based in Knaresborough, North Yorkshire, England. He was born in York, England in 1963. His interest in photography started around the age of eleven. He is largely self-taught, having trained and worked in the IT industry for some twenty years. Mark has continued to develop his photography throughout his life both in the UK and abroad with landscape photographers Nigel Turner and Linde Waidhofer in North America and Patagonia. He has been a full time professional photographer since 2004.
Mark has been widely published in magazines and books. He has written numerous travel photography and technique articles for titles such as Outdoor Photography, Photography Monthly and Amateur Photographer. He was highly commended in the Composition and Form category of the 2000 Wildlife Photographer of The Year Competition.
Mark now produces his own range of local jigsaws, calendars and cards focussing on Knaresborough and Harrogate, Ripon and Nidderdale along with Yorkshire in general. Trade enquiries are welcome! Just use the contact page to get in touch.

Mark has a library of well over 20,000 stock landscape and travel images available for licensing. Yorkshire Photography Workshops
When Mark isn’t out and about photographing Yorkshire for this website he occasionally can be found running landscape photography workshops in the Yorkshire Dales with fellow Yorkshire photographer Sam Oakes as Natural Light Photography Workshops.
