About the location
Yorkshire Dales National Park covers over 2000 square kilometres of countryside in northern England. The Wharfedale Multiview Postcard features four locations in Upper Wharfedale, the section of the Wharfe valley within the national park. The Strid (top left) is a series of rapids and waterfalls flowing through a narrow constriction in the River Wharfe near Bolton Abbey. Buttercup meadows (top right) near Kettlewell look vibrant backlit by the setting sun in June. The picturesque village of Burnsall (bottom left) nestles in the bottom of the valley alongside the River Wharfe. The ruins of the Augustinian Bolton Priory (bottom right) are illuminated by sunshine by the river at the village of Bolton Abbey.
