About the location
Knaresborough’s famous market dates back hundreds of years, with the first mention of a market as far back as 1206. It’s a busy market place even on non-market days and the selection of cafes make it a great spot for sitting outside on a warm day. The Oldest Chemist Shop and Lavender Tea Rooms can be seen in the Knaresborough Market Place postcard. This pretty building with its red brick façade dates back to the 17th century.
