About the location
The Stray is 200 acres of grass parkland in the centre of Harrogate and is a popular leisure area in the town. It was created in 1778 from the Forest of Knaresborough to link together all of Harrogate’s springs. The Harrogate Stray greetings card depicts one of the avenues of cherry trees across The Stray in spring when the trees are covered in pink blossom.
