The image shows the card front with the reverse inset. The postcard front has a single or multiple images with a title of the major location. The reverse of the card has a classic postcard layout with an image caption across the top and address lines on the right hand side. There is also a barcode for the postcard range. The postcards are within Royal Mail’s standard letter size for posting.
About the location
The Royal Hall is a grade II* listed building in Harrogate, North Yorkshire. A theatre and concert hall, the building was opened as the Kursaal in 1903 to a design by Robert Beale and Frank Matcham. During its life the building spent time as a cinema as as part of the Harrogate conference centre but fell into disrepair and was placed on the English Heritage at risk list in 2001. Restoration started in 2006 and it reopened in 2008. It is still in use today at a performance venue. In the Harrogate Royal Hall postcard the building can be seen from Crescent Gardens.
