About the location
Crescent Gardens were developed in the late 19th century and take their name from the old Crescent Inn which stood on the site. In 1783 a spring had been discovered in the garden of the Crescent Inn. The gardens were designed to be used by visitors who had come to take the waters. In the Harrogate Crescent Gardens postcard greetings card the gardens are pictured on a warm spring day with tulips and other spring flowers in bloom.
